Healsville Sanctuary

Amelia, James and I went to Healsville Sanctuary a few weeks ago. It turned out a lovely day, and was enjoyed by all, especially James, who decided to run everywhere. We looked at all the animals, and then at midday, we saw the raptor display. After this, we got some well-earned lunch, and then went to see all the prehistoric monsters, with their life-like roars. James didn't know where to look first, and as soon as we got to one animal, he was off to see the next one.

He never seemed to stop running, and when the day was over, and we got back to the car, he was fast asleep before we had driven out of the carpark!!!

A good time was had by all, and the weather really behaved itself, and gave us a lovely sunny day. What more could you want?

What child doesn't love to walk on anything other than the ground?

Pointing out the salient features of the dinosaurs!

Well, the music was playing, so we might as well have a dance while we're at it!!

A small upgrade

Here is a picture of my new desktop computer, and my new desk!!

Jim said I needed a new computer as I could go on a picnic while waiting for things to happen on the old one, plus I was in the spare room which is on the dark side of the house, and in the Winter months can be quite gloomy.

So we bought this one, and then I decided to utilise the back bedroom which is so much brighter. What's more, I have a superb view of the shed, so I can easily keep a weather eye on his lordship as he goes about his pursuits!!  A win win I say!!

So then, of course, I needed a desk. So off to Officeworks to get one. It is small, but all I need, as I have a small side table for my printer. Jim made a small shelf for the back, and I sprayed it black, and, as they say...Bob's your uncle!! The worst part was that it came in a flat pack and we had to assemble it. With hindsight it's probably not the best idea to build a flat pack via the instruction book with your spouse!!!

However, I am happy to report, no  blows were exchanged!!

After a few decorative touches with greenery from the garden, we are all set up. Plus a new chair, as my old one had a rather unfortunate tendency to collapse to the lowest setting without a moments notice.
